Hello,

I am using Brave on a work PC that has McAfee installed. I must have gotten lucky as the first version I downloaded and have been using was version 1.40.113-82 with no issues.

Upon using the newer version 1.42.88-83 or an older version 1.38.111-81 results in McAfee disallowing it to start and removes the files.

From McAfee's end on my stuff, does not look like im allowed to add exceptions.

My question is, does anyone know maybe what had changed between 1.40.113-82 and other versions to allow McAfee not to kill and remove the program?

EDIT:
Tried another one at random, and brave-portable-win64-1.25.68-74 does pass McAfee.
Tried another again and brave-portable-win64-1.31.87-77 NOT passing McAfee
And another with brave-portable-win64-1.34.80-80 NOT passing McAfee

*Will periodically test new versions until I hopefully figure this out.

Same situation on Symantec EndPoint Protection. Brave.exe seems as thread WS.Reputation.1 by Symantec.

These antiviruses are terrible. Use kaspersky/bitdefender.
