Why are some plugins blocked from loading or updating?

To ensure the safety of users, we monitor plugins in the wild and instruct Powercord to not load plugins which are from harmful sources and which could cause severe damage to your Discord account, or your computer.

How does it work?

Powercord fetches a list of known threats from our API, which we update as soon as we observe new threats arise, and makes sure the plugins you have installed are not flagged. If a plugin is flagged, Powercord will not load it and inform you about it.

You can still accept the risk and load the plugin anyway, but Powercord will ask you the same question every time you restart (or reload) Discord, and the updater will not update this plugin under any circumstances.

Is it possible to disable this?

No. There is no setting to disable the fingerprint checking, and there is no privacy risk as the entire list is loaded and we do not receive the list of plugins you have installed. The verification happens on your computer.
