  • Write release notes (2.4 blog post #11457)
    • use node scripts/draft-blog-post.mjs to generate a blog post draft (a file named YYYY-MM-DD-version.md in website/blog) from changelog_unreleased
    • prs-merged-since (readme) may be useful
• publish
  • Run release script
• postpublish
  • Merge release notes
  • Wait for release notes to deploy
  • Clean changelog_unreleased
    • use node scripts/clean-changelog-unreleased.mjs
  • Tweet from @PrettierCode account via TweetDeck
  • Close milestone
  • Send schema PR generated by node scripts/generate-schema.js to SchemaStore if we added a new option (Update prettierrc for 2.4 SchemaStore/schemastore#1820)
  • Update the release checklist with possible changes
  • Revert Fix Playground #11433 (Revert workaround for fixing playground #11481)

Then monitor Twitter/GitHub for any immediate issues 😄

Could we try to finish #10956? Happy to make any necessary amendments, just waiting for feedback ATM 🙏

I've got a few repos stuck on Prettier 2.2 because of the issue, it'd be great to switch to the latest release if possible 🚀

Sorry, I don't think there is consensus on adding an option for that purpose. So we cannot implement it in next release.

Maybe we're not going to do a patch release until the 2.4 release, so I'll merge the PR for the new features
