Issue is not clear, please feel free to reopen with a stackblitz example.

if you type SPACE key in the field of the filter in the DropDown, then it's immediately closes.
Expected: To be able to type SPACES as any other CHAR in the filter input field in the DropDown
You can see in the DEMO page: https://primefaces.org/primeng/showcase/#/dropdown
in the Fourth DropDown example called: "Advanced with Templating, Filtering and Clear Icon"
Just try to type SPACE in the filter there!
