There are some extensions that highlight wikilinks: Memo, Foam, Dendron. Foam uses syntax injections and Memo has still unreleased support for them (I've contributed the code in both cases, so I'm familiarised with the implementation). OTOH, Dendron and the currently released version of Memo use decorations. Thing is, in both cases and when using every other theme, a decorated wikilink looks like:

While when using github themes they look like:

Notice that the underline is wrong, extending an extra character to the left.

Perhaps you're trying to apply your own decorations?

I can't seem to reproduce this issue. Here the steps I took:

  1. Download Markdown Memo. Not sure if that's the right extension? 🤔
  2. Create a new file, safe it as .md
  3. Type [[
  4. A dropdown shows up, letting you pick a file to link to

In my case the underline does not exceed past the text. Could also be that it got fixed in the meantime.
