How is quit done? Why would coupon need to be remembered if it is fully
closed out of of by swiping up?

Please screen share. We do not plan to keep coupon codes after a full application quit.

The cart contents are saved, just not the coupon code that has been successfully applied to it. So from a UX perspective the cart is different than the way they left it in this scenario. For customers who clicked the promotion banner and had it auto-applied, they likely may not remember the code at a later date.

How is the quit happening?

What is the likelyhood that this happens to a user?

Is the user force quitting with an item in their cart? I was not aware that
we were persisting carts in a full quit of the app

@AustenB I don't have statistics on how many people kill apps, but it is a normal action for a user to take. There have been many articles published recommending this as a way to extend battery life.

Coupon code stays applied until app is killed.
