As described by @Sashan in this PR, ProFTPD's handling of NLST commands for relative paths, e.g. ./test.d, does not behave consistently. Relative path arguments that start with ./ are handled unexpectedly, producing no results. The scope of this bug is to track down the culprit -- which might be a regression -- and address it.

This has been fixed in master, and the fix backported to the 1.3.7 branch.
