we have latest version 1605 of this great product installed. Besides other files that are only accessible for logged in users, we allow public download for one file. However, if a user is not logged in, and he clicks on the download link on public.php, she/he gets an error 403 - forbidden. The user first has to click on "Direct link", In the next screen, he gets a working download link that also includes a token.
Is there a workaround for this behaviour? I read about a bug in the public.php-Page a few weeks ago (Issue 1210), the recommendation was to create a public group. But I'm not sure if it's the same issue, and creating a public group seems to have no impact.
Thanks
Michael

Btw., same issue on the official Projectsend demo page. Upload a file, set it public, logout, open https://www.projectsend.org/demo/public.php, klick "Download" -> Error 403. First klick on "Direct link" instead, then on "Download file" -> it works.
