If I rename my workspace 1 to be "1:email" then quickswitch no longer treats it as workspace '1'. So if I do quickswitch.py -e it will always put me on a new workspace titled "1" when I would like it to use the first unused number.

+1 same issue here. I like the idea of this feature but I don't want it to create new numbered workspaces.

Just wanted y'all to know my fork fixes this issue and adds some other functionality. It's all in the README, as well as in commit history if you want to see exactly what's changed.
