Welcome to the Abacus wiki!

Abacus is calculator that calculates while you type.

FEATURES

  • Simple interface – Write the formula on the left; the answer will appear on the right while you type.
  • Almost unlimited memory – Write all the formulas you want. Abacus will remember them until you exit.
  • Simple arithmetic – Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are all supported.
  • Textual interface – Write formulas on the left, the answer will appear instantly on the right.
  • No buttons – Write your calculation as you would with a text editor.
  • No need to retype – In other calculators sometimes you have to retype whole or part of your calculations, because your made a typo or a mistake in the order of the calculation.
  • Use the memory of the computer – Instead of using your own memory to remember parts of the results of the calculation, Abacus keeps all previous calculations on the screen.
  • Open / save your work — You can save your work any time and continue at a later time. Oh, and it's just text files.
