Confirmed on PublishPress.com too
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/robots-meta-tag-content-is-now-incorrect/

When I turn on PublishPress Authors, the robots meta tag on this category archive page changes from what we want it to be:

<meta name='robots' content='noindex, follow' />

to this:

<meta name='robots' content='max-image-preview:large' />.

Turning your plugin off again brings back the desired content value. Why is this happening, and how can I recover the correct value?
