I have to save double that tags get removed

Current Behavior

I use it with Linux mint 21.2 and at the first time, i want to remove a tag, i have to save it twice:
-> Remove - reload - (the entry comes still again) -> remove again. Then it's saved.
The same in 2.01 normal version or in the 2.20 Flathub version.
Any idea?

Expected Behavior

I only want to save it once.

Seems the problem is only in the comment tag.

Could you please specify what exactly you mean by "remove a tag" (single field vs. all fields), what file formats this happens with (mp3, ogg, ...), and what exact steps you take when this occurs. I tried a few ways but was unable to reproduce it. Also a bit more info about the 2.2.0 runtime environment, e.g. Help -> About puddletag -> libraries.

I want e.g. remove the comment entrys of a range of mp3's. I switch to leer (english perhaps "blank") and save it. In the list of the mp3s it seems it works. But if i reload the same tracks, the entrys still there. If do the same again, then the comment field is blank. It seems only the comment field has that problem. The others work (but i'm a new user - can't say it 100%).

I use it with Linux Mint 21.2 und Puddletag is the very best alternative for windows mp3tag programm.

Unfortunately I am still unable to reproduce this.

Can you please try to delete the comment(s) using a different way: Select the files in the table, right-click and select "Extended tags" ("Erweiterte Tags" in german). In the new window that pops up, please check how many rows there are where the field ("Feld") column says "comment" (it should be only one, but you never know), select all the comment rows, click the red minus botton ("Entfernen") on the right side of table, and finally close the window by clicking "OK" in the bottom right.
