Usage

Load this script

(require 'symon)

and activate.

(symon-mode)

then a tiny system monitor is displayed in minibuffer, during idle.

Supported Systems

• Linux
• Windows (XP or later)

other systems are unsupported for now (contributions are welcome!).

• memory usage (%)
  • Linux : free -o -m
  • Windows : (w32-memory-info)
• swapped memory (MB)
  • Linux : free -o -m
  • Windows : wmic path Win32_PageFileUsage get CurrentUsage
• CPU usage (%)
  • Linux : /proc/stat
  • Windows : typeperf "\Processor(_Total)\% Processor Time"​
• remaining battery (%)
  • Linux : one of /proc/apm, /proc/acpi/battery, /sys/class/power_supply
  • Windows : (w32-battery-status)

network informations are probably added someday.

NOTE

This is still a beta project.

May have some bugs, and APIs are volatile.
