@netsweng, it might be worth cooperating with @XVilka, he has done some related work too.

It's WIP and unfinished port, I was rebasing and fixing original user-space ia64 support patches to the old QEMU and started to create a system target, but it's just the beginning and will require a lot more work, sorry. Hey all, I'm no longer working on this project. Will be happy to hand over the repo to another maintainer. (I would accept PRs but without testing them myself it would not be a good idea.)
