The German Umlaute (ÄÖÜäöüß) are following directly to the standard characters (32-127) in the font files. Many fonts have them defined. But with the current logic they are ignored and not loaded.

Thanks @everlanes for your effort. Is there any chance you could add a test? I'm inclined to merge this even without a test but if you can add one that will help prevent it breaking in the future. |

This will fix ticket #80
