Ideas for short research projects using PyBaMM. These are aimed at a masters student or first year PhD student with some battery modeling knowledge. Any of these projects would be great contributions to the PyBaMM ecosystem.

You can contact us for more information on how to get started with these projects. We would appreciate if the final report can be made public, and if you make us aware of any progress, to avoid duplication of effort where possible.

  • Implement a model from the literature
  • Implement a parameter set from the literature
  • Validate a model against experimental data
  • Compare degradation behavior of different fidelity models (SPM, SPMe, DFN)
  • Compare different SEI models under various operating conditions
  • Parameter sensitivity studies for various degradation models
  • Compare different thermal models
