test_magic_e_total in test_variancereduction.py sporadically fails. It has only been seen when building pyne on the docker image used for CI testing that includes pymoab, dagmc and openmc.

Because it is transient/sporadic, it is difficult to reproduce and suggests a memory conflict in underlying C++ code somewhere.

This does not appear anymore and the build system has been dramatically overhauled. Will close in favor of a new issue if it resumes.
