travis build failing for Python 3.6 due to matplotlib/matplotlib#12626

AttributeError: module 'matplotlib' has no attribute 'artist'

  • Nominal issue documentation with high hopes of things magically working themselves out.

travis build failing again with

@ljwolf @sjsrey Any thoughts/ideas for a course of action here since libpysal is also failing?

This is a matplotlib bug that should be fixed shortly. nothing we can do but wait.

@sjsrey yeah, weird thing is that it was temporarily fixed earlier this afternoon.
