run.pysuffers from the same issues asupdate_index.py, so I am extending #59 to fix this issue. You can see it happening on travis runs on master ( e.g.: https://travis-ci.org/github/pytest-dev/plugincompat/jobs/744924574 ).I ran
run.pylocally and was unable to get it to error like it did in the travis link above.
