@jorisvandenbossche @lidavidm Do you think this would be a useful addition (for example for typing annotations, unit tests, introspection...)?

I think it would be useful to let us be precise/explicit (I liked the original proposal of something like Capsule["dlpack"] best, though!). It could also be useful for writing stub files for C extensions/Cython code.

Note: switching to '88a6137cdb81c80440d9d1ee7dee17ea0b820f11'.

You are in 'detached HEAD' state. You can look around, make experimental
changes and commit them, and you can discard any commits you make in this
state without impacting any branches by switching back to a branch.

If you want to create a new branch to retain commits you create, you may
do so (now or later) by using -c with the switch command. Example:

  git switch -c <new-branch-name>

Or undo this operation with:

  git switch -

Turn off this advice by setting config variable advice.detachedHead to false

HEAD is now at 88a6137cdb gh-109599: Add types.CapsuleType (#109600)
Switched to and reset branch 'main'
