Pick multiple meshes with rectangle selection

Description

I can't see in documentation a method to pick whole meshes with a rectangle selection tool. enable_cell_picking makes something similar, but picks cells, not whole meshes. enable_block_picking is very useful, as it can pick many meshes at one time, but lacks of selecion rectangle. I think it is somehow possible to to merge enable_rectangle_picking with any method that can pick multiple meshes. Is there any possibility to make that happen?
