I just installed Pyzo 4.6.0 on Windows 10 64-bit.
There were no errors during installation.
When I tried to open Pyzo, I got a cx_Freeze: Python error in main script dialog.
I attached a screenshot, because I can't select the text:

Thanks for reporting! We did build the windows binary on another system as before. It works fine on my Windows 10, but apparently not everywhere... will see if I can get the old system running again...

Fixed. Download the win32 version via the website. Maybe refresh the page (you want to download the win32 version, not win64).

Install went off without a hitch.
But when I try to run it, I get a new error:

Does the previous version work for you? e.g. https://github.com/pyzo/pyzo/releases/tag/v4.5.1 ?

It did not.
But I uninstalled Pyzo and was then able to successfully install and run the original 64-bit 4.6.0
Apparently that's all it needed.
Thanks!

I would close this issue, but I'm not sure if this is something you still want to fix, so I'll let you decide :)

How strange ... :( Let's leave the issue open, as a reminder, and maybe it helps people with similar problems.

On my Linux system, I get

/opt/yann/pyzo-4.6.0/source/pyzo/util/qt/__init__.py:178: RuntimeWarning: Selected binding "pyqt5" could not be found, using "pyside"
  'using "{}"'.format(initial_api, API), RuntimeWarning)

when starting pyzo 4.6 (which nonetheless seems to work). I do not get this warning with 4.5.x (I just checked, from the same terminal).

Maybe it is related ?
