can't connect to tygem #22
Comments
I can connect to Tygem and at least view games just fine (never tried playing there, though) with current master (d8433f3). The error message "The remote host closed the connection" suggests that everything is fine on the client side. |
I have the same issue, the connection fails with 'Protocol Error' every time. The console output is similar:
I can log in just fine if I use the official tygem client on windows. |
Well, it works for me (i.e. connecting and observing), so I can't debug this. |
had you tried connectiing as a different user? ie I also have an account, can login online or with app, but cannot with qgo tx |
Please consider this software abandoned. I have decided not to work on it any more. |
I managed to connect to tygem with version 2.0.0 that I installed from ubuntu repositories (ubuntu 14.04) couple days ago. Now yesterday I installed 2.1.0 from this github, and the old tygem credentials work no more. Removing and resetting the same creds no avail.
Protocol Error
This may also result from wrong username or password.
linux console outputs:
Requesting Tygem Server Info

NetworkConnection::OnError() : TCP socket error: "The remote host closed the connection"
I have posted to life19x19 forum a more detailed post about all my qgo problems here: http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=10357
