qBittorrent version and Operating System

4.2.5
Ubuntu 20.04

If on linux, libtorrent-rasterbar and Qt version

libtorrent-rasterbar 1.2.6
qt 5.12.8

What is the problem

1. installation of the program according to the instructions
2. change user preferences
3. the program began to freeze and close automatically when swap 1 GB
4. installed a swap of 10 GB (RAM 6 GB)
5. after some time, the program eats up all 10 GB and crashes
6. restarting the program for a while solves the problem

I changed quite a few settings, but there is a feeling that this is after an update of the operating system on 20.04

Most likely the same cause as #12326. You need to generate a report with massif to find out - if it looks similar to the ones posted in that thread, we'll know it's the same issue.

massif itself is a CLI tool from the valgrind suite of profiling tools, you run it with valgrind --tool=massif qbittorrent.
