I/O error "not enough space" with plenty of space. qBit 3.1.9 #1491
Comments
Is this the failing torrent? |
PS: Try watching your total/system RAM usage during this period. Note the RAM usage right before the i/o error if you can or right after it occurs. |
I do not think that is the torrent in question, i only have 1 torrent in the list which must be this one "4b09e57.torrent' resumed." My highest ram usage that i noticed before the crash from qbittorrent.exe was 1gb, after the crash the exe was gone from task manager, so everything looked normal. |
This happened to me with in 3.8.1 with libtorrent 0.16.12 (magnet links bug) hence my other I/O report. |
I do not have any experience with magnet, so can't say. |

I haven't had this problem for a long time. |
This issue pops up for me once in a while, and I have it now with a torrent. I think the common factor is that I'm seeding a large file. RAM usage reaches 1.9GB ~ and then the I/O error messages starts appearing quite frequently. Looks like it happens when the upload speed reaches 9-10MiB/s, then it calms down a bit to 7-8MiB/s before it starts increasing again. After the first I/O error, qBittorrent freezes if I try to do something in GUI, but as long as I don't touch anything it can run for hours at least, but the error message gets annoying so I usually just stop the torrent. Torrent size is 63,4GB with 60 files. Has happened on several versions of qBittorent over a few years, runing 3.3.9 now on Windows 10 |

We are closing all issues related to old qBittorrent versions (qBittorrent < 4.1.0). |
I was told to copy the log, so this is everything. Issue has occurred with 3.1.8, 3.2.0a & 3.1.9
This is how it happens.
Notificantion popup saying I/O error "torrent name" reason: not enough space. A few seconds later the exe crashes.
Torrent was done downloading and had seeded for at least 30 min.
torrent was 27gb and drive has 158gb free.
