I am new user trying to install QGIS-OSGeo4W-1.8.0-1-Setup.exe.
My laptop is running Windows 7 Pro 64bit
I have loaded the prog twice and each time i get the same error message so cannot start the application:

"The procedure entry point sqlite3_open_v2 could not be located in the dynamic link library sqlite3.dll"

I meant to select affected Version 1.8 and not Master. See Bug #16119

remove @sqlite3.dll@ from your @WINDOWS\SYSWOW64@ directory (system32 on 32 bit windows).


  • resolution was changed from to worksforme
  • status_id was changed from Open to Closed
