Bug Either a bug report, or a bug fix. Let's hope for the latter! High Priority Vectors Related to general vector layer handling (not specific data formats)

Author Name: Gonzalo Quiroga (Gonzalo Quiroga)
Original Redmine Issue: 16645
Affected QGIS version: 2.8.6
Redmine category:vectors

When I try to open a GeoJson file it shows a completely wrong shape. If I open the same vector but in shapefile format (it is displayed correctly), then I create a new GeoJson file, the new GeoJason is shown correctly and if then I try again to open the first GeoJson file it is also show correctly. When I close and reopen QGIS the error persists.

This is happening as a new thing, weeks before I had no problems, I also tried to uninstall and reinstall al QGIS but the error persists.

I am runing Kubuntu:
LSB Version: core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64:core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-noarch:security-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64:security-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-noarch
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial

QGIS: 2.8.6. Detailed about in attached screenshot.
