Original Redmine Issue: 21564

Redmine category:mac_os_specific

on Kyngchaos, only 2.18.01 is available and http://download.osgeo.org/qgis/mac/ only goes up to 1.0.

I would like to get the last 2.18 version as I still need 2.18 for many projects and plugins.

Hi Gavin,
I don't think this can be classified as a QGIS (the application) feature request/issue. This is a matter of making available installers on a web site, I suggest to use a more direct approach and raise the matter on the developers mailing list.

The proper place to download QGIS versions now is QGIS website, ie https://qgis.org/en/site/forusers/download.html (you have 3.4 and 3.6 dmg files)

I think this can be closed. Fixed for a while.

The latest version of 2.18 is still not available anywhere as a dmg.

Since 2.18 is no longer maintained, I'm afraid that unless you build 2.18 yourself from the source, the best you can have is http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/archive/qgis/

Since QGIS has been available for download from qgis.org, I haven't been archiving them on my site. They are available at https://qgis.org/downloads/macOS/ (note: case sensitive here, there's another "macos" folder that's in progress)

@kyngchaos I understand now why suddenly there was no more versions on your website. This deserves a mention in qgis.org (@rduivenvoorde where is the source of https://qgis.org/en/site/forusers/download.html# for "All releases" and "Sources" tabs? Only "Installation downloads" is reachable)

forusers_download.html and alldownloads.rst also has info.

I agree the link in #29380 (comment) should be available through qgis.org - that's exactly what I was looking for - even if it's just to QGIS-OSX-2.18.28-1.dmg as 'the final Mac installer for 2.18'
