What is the bug or the crash?

I have vector point layer in qgis project and set labels (rule based) based on point attributes. Both point and label show on map. If make query with opacity, it's not rendered correctly. Points will disappear and labels keep visible. So opacities url parameter in GetMap request is not affect to labels.

Hello @elpaso and @rldhont,

Do you know if the OPACITIES parameter is also applied to labels in other map servers? Because it's a vendor parameter, so there really aren't any "fixed rule" about that point in particular.

In GeoServer documentation, I read opacity: a number from 0 to 100 indicating how opaque the image should be. So I suspect it's also applied to labels...

I'm not sure but I believe it should apply to the labels too, if you need separate opacity control for labels and data you can always duplicate the layer and put labels and data in the two separate layers.
