What is the bug or the crash?

It is a regression introduced in 3.26. Drag and drop the same file in 3.22.8 works fine.

When drag and drop a PDF in new georeferencer, it "silently" fails.
Georeferencer windows indicates a "source loaded" while logs indicates "invalid data provider".

If the same PDF is loaded using the menu "File" -> "Open raster...", it works fine.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Download SITE - PG-1-5 - PLAN MASSE RDC (PHASE 1).pdf
  2. Drag and drop it
  3. See nothing and warning in log
  4. Reset georeferencer and use the menu to load the PDF, see it's fine

Versions

3.26 and master 597e8eebd4

Supported QGIS version

  • I'm running a supported QGIS version according to the roadmap.

New profile

  • I tried with a new QGIS profile
