The algorithm used seems to be false on some cases. Prefers the one from QgsGeometryUtils. Fixes qgis#54022

Manual backport from #56130
The algorithm used seems to be false on some cases. Prefers the one from QgsGeometryUtils (for 3.34 release since QgsGeometryUtilsBase available only after).
Fixes #54022 and add tests
