Dear developers,

regarding #11428 would it be possible to switch to kotlin 1.5 now? Maybe for 2.0 if some stuff in quarkus needs to get adapted to use its new features.
Kotlin 1.5 is now available via the dependency manager.

This would also be required to get the Kotlin bits building in Quarkus CI on JDK 16.

but even if the rc builds properly, we won't bump to 1.5 until it's final. and probably not right away at that.

Yes, Kotlin 1.5 seems to be final now according to its new version number.

And good to know what is needed there.
So it depends on #16195

• remove --add-opens java.base/java.util=ALL-UNNAMED from .github/workflows/jdk-early-access-build.yml (see 72b2e65)
• remove --add-opens java.base/java.util=ALL-UNNAMED from .github/workflows/ci-actions-incremental.yml (see caaa94b#diff-d8e36253822cffbdf21e333bcba467345b46e6095927dda98399fe7f21f4679aR244)
• revert 2024c05
• revert f56e175
• revert f06cca4
• remove -Dkotlin.environment.keepalive=true from .mvn/jvm.config (see d60fadd, I can help with testing this)
