Failure at new site creation #443
Comments
Thanks for your feedback. I will definitely replay your journey on Windows. Hope to fix your problems ASAP. |
@NotaInutilis The Hugo download problems should be solved. As well as the strange typo "your site has been newed" I've tested above on Linux and macOS. Please download the latest version 17.3 or 17.4 and try again. I'm very happy with your feedback. |
Nice! I'll test it this week end but I can't find the download for the latest releases. I see them in the "Action" tab of the repo, but not in the release list. Am I missing something there? |

Hi, I've been curious about Hugo and this tool seemed easy enough but my very first interaction with it resulted in an error! That's a shame, I'd love to see how it works.
When I create a new site via Quiqr (from scratch only), it shows up in the site library but immediately shows an error message "Hugo installation failed. Please contact your developer". The error message then shows up every time Quiqr loads the "Content" page for the site.
When I try to create a new site from a Hugo theme, the website is not created at all. The "site has been successfully newed" (I'm newing!) window shows up, but the website does not appears in the site library, nor in the quiqr\sites folder.
I've tried with and without a Hugo installation on my system, rebooted everything but the issues persists.
I'm using Windows 11, latest update, 64 bits.
