System States There are two major states that the system can work in. Using the System with WIFI: When connected to the wifi, the system notifies the user when the laser is tripped, by sending an email with the picture. The system also store the pictures locally on a memory card.
Using the System without WIFI: If the system is not connected to wifi, the system stores the picture locally on a memory card. The picture can be accessed by the user at a later time.

System Functions Email setup: The email setup requires the user to set their prefered email for obtaining the notification and picture. First boot the raspberry pi and move to /home/pi/Documents/TripWire. After reaching said destinition the user must edit the email.py file in this directory and enter the desired email address.

System setup: Align the laser with the photonic sensor. Adjust the camera in order to properly identify an intruder when the laser is tripped. Turn the device on. Walk through the monitored area and check that the system properly detects the laser being tripped and sends a picture to the desired email address.

Website setup: In order for the user to update the website using FTP, the user must know their username and password for the website, and the user must edit the FTP.py to match the user’s website information. When the program complete it’s task, the website should update itself with the photo and the date and time of when the laser was tripped.
