improve jump to dialog #64
Comments
We already have that dialog from the "jump to" in the action bar, maybe reuse that? |
Since we now have quarter hizb data as well, we can also add jump to 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or full Hizb. Also, I think it would be better to combine all the "Jump To's" into a single popup with 3 tabs - Jump To: Page, Ayah, or Marker to minimize clutter/confusion. If you guys think it's a good idea I'll prolly try to work on that next. |
..or maybe a single tab, but 3 radio buttons (page, ayah, marker) and clicking one of them updates the selections (spinners) appropriately. |
sure - one thing to keep in mind is that one person is working on a ui redesign for the application, so this may affect this screen ultimately - so if you want to work on something else, it maybe better. for what it's worth, on the iphone, some apps just have a slider button at the top that you can have to be "hizb" or "page" and you basically type a number (1-30 or 1-60) and jump. otherwise, we can somehow redirect to the index page and do things there. |
Ok, sure, I'll look for something else non-UI to work on (after Ramadan inshaAllah). Ya i think that slider+text entry idea is better. It's meant to be quick so it's prob. better than redirecting to index as well. So the sura/ayat jump-to dialog would stay as is but only the jump-to-page one would be changed to have a slider? |
closing this for now. |
"it would be good to be able to jump to a juz, surah and where user can select the 30 juz and 114 surah from a drop-down list."
