Simple GUI software to carry out pre- and post- procesess for ModEM (Egbert and Kelbert, 2012)
- Simple GUI
- Pre- and post- processing can be done in one software.
- Initial model is created taking into account the topography.
- Observation point location and grid are automatically drawn.
- Observed and Calculated apparent resistivity and phase can be easily compared.
- Resistivity structure, hypocenters and other points can be easily exported to paraview format.
- Resistivity structure can be easily partially modified for sensitivity check.
- python3 or more
- pandas
- numpy
- matplotlib
- seaborn
- pyevtk
- pyproj
- PysimpleGUI
-
Prepare DEM including header (lon, lat, height) and bathymetry (if needed) including header (lon, lat, depth).
-
Prepare the file (including header [lon lat] with the latitude and longitude of the observation point.
-
Find the EPSG code of the destination Cartesian coordinate system.(https://epsg.io/)
-
Launch MFB
$ python mfb_gui.py
-
Configure settings via GUI (Push 'Save Settings' Button)
-
Make files (Push 'Make files' Button)
-
Carry out the inversion via ModEM
-
Carry out post-processes (The file about hypocenters must have header [lon lat depth m], m means magnitude. The file about points must have header [lon lat height].)
$ git clone https://github.com/r-tnk/MFB.git
- The DEM is not needed to be sorted.
- The DEM is needed to be separated from the bathemerty.
- A missing value of the DEM is filled by "-9999.00".
