Hello, good evening.
What should I consider if I want to modify this setup to work with an custom build USB PIU Pad based on USB Joystick, to this PIUIO_clone and then to an original machine?

Best regards

If the Pad is the Original from Andamiro (and an old version, the new version uses another controller named P3IO) you don't have to modify nothing.

For a custom mande USB Joystick, you can use one of the examples of V-USB: https://www.obdev.at/products/vusb/prjhid.html

They work great, I did one for my PIU PAD to run on Stepmania.

@racerxdl i think he wants to use a USB Joystick on an original Pump It UP board, and that's impossible I think, because the game doesn't recognize a different controller except the original one (or in this case a clone)
