Conditional Switch v1.0.0

FINALLY!!! This has been a long time in the making, but here it is! The initial release of Conditional Switch.

Note: Both Windows and MacOS will probably say that the app might be malware. I can promise you that it isn't malware. However, feel free to use your antivirus program or any other malware checker to scan it if you want to be safe. If you really want, you can even download the source files and compile the game for yourself.

How do I install this?

I have created an EXE installer for Windows and a DMG installer for MacOS. Linux isn't nearly as popular as these two OSes and it was going to be quite tricky to get the game to work on Linux, so I haven't added support for that here. You can try running it with wine if you want. I tested it in a virtual machine and it was VERY laggy, but my guess is that's because it was in a virtual machine. If there are enough people who advocate for a native Linux build, though, I will try to do so. You can do that in the "Issues" tab or by messaging me directly.

Below you will find installation instructions for both MacOS and Windows.

Windows

Just download the ConditionalSwitch-Windows-x64 EXE and open it. Chrome might block the download at first, just click the "Downloads" icon and click "Download anyway" (or you can scan for malware, but it isn't malware). After you open the EXE installer it will probably say that it is unrecognized, just click "More info" and then "Run anyway," and it will guide you through the installation instructions. If you don't know what you're doing, I recommend leaving all of the values as defaults and selecting "Create a Desktop Shortcut" once you get to that step, which will create a shortcut to the app on your desktop which you can delete later at any time if you want.

It WILL pop up and say "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?" Click yes. Getting verified by Microsoft would be a big process that I'm not willing to go through for a small project like this, so that pop up is going to show up.

MacOS

Download the ConditionalSwitch-MacOS-Universal DMG file and open it. It will pop up with a window that allows you to drag the application into your "Applications" folder, and you can open it from there afterwards. Close the window, and right click on the drive on your desktop and select "Eject." After a short time, this will remove it from your desktop. You can now also delete the DMG file that you downloaded.

The game will work on both older Intel Macs and on newer Apple Silicon Macs.

BIG DISCLAIMER: There will be a popup when you open the APP after installing it that says that the developer is not verified and Apple can't check it for malicious software. To get around this, click "Cancel" or "Show in Finder," then right click the application in Finder and click "Open" from there. There is no workaround for this, and it is because I am not a verified developer by Apple, which would cost 100 USD and a lengthy process, which I just don't want to do for a small project like this. Thanks for understanding!

Changelog

I don't have a changelog because this is version 1.0.0. In the future if I update this I will add one!
