Apparently rtorrent does not know how to send metadata for magnet links #215

Is this correct?

While seeding a file with rtorrent only and using a magnet link to download it,it appears that the metadata can never be retrieved, using other torrent clients the metadata will be retrieved from them and the download will start from the different seeders, including rtorrent.

Currently metadata downloads are closed and reloaded as the actual torrent download when done.

I think Ayms is talking about rtorrent's ability to upload metadata to DHT peers that are requesting it, not something that happens when you download a magnet link in rtorrent.

Yes, I am talking about http://www.bittorrent.org/beps/bep_0009.html

It seems it is not supported by rtorrent.

Damn , what a pitty this is , i love rtorrent and dont really want to move away from it .

Has this been fixed ?
