Attention Thetis Developers!
Randy Williams has crafted the RM Noise system. Should you wish to reach out, his email is: rmnoise AT ournetplace dot charlie oscar mike (kindly decipher the email address).
Randy is eager to incorporate his AI noise-reduction solution and server with Thetis. After an extensive chat with him, he's thrilled at the prospect of RM Noise becoming part of Thetis.
In essence, the RX signal gets routed to a server in Texas, returning within milliseconds, ensuring that all SSB white noise is thoroughly eliminated from your RX.
Numerous tutorials on utilizing RM Noise can be found online.
If Thetis developers choose to integrate this AI noise-reduction capability, it would pioneer as the first SDR software with AI NR – perhaps we can dub it NR3.
I trust this message has piqued your interest.

It is a fantastic filter, but using an external server is a no go for me... +300ms of added delay from Europe.

Will be fantastic to have an standalone filter app integrated in Thetis that we can run locally.

Is NR2 not good enough? It's great....if you have an NVIDIA GPU try nvidia broadcast, run your speaker outputs through that and voila, AI NR on receive.

Not sure what the fuzz is all about. I just want the programmers of Thetis talk with Randy and see if the RM noise feature can be integrated in some kind of a way in Thetis. It is pleasant listening to very clear signals using the RM noise filter and using AI. Now AI is getting better every day, it is time to use AI in our beloved software to make the software even more outstanding.
How the implementation of the AI filter should be done is up to the programmers to discuss with Randy.

I also have reservations about connecting to an external server. I have used RM noise reduction a couple of times with another SDR app. It worked very well. Plus I'm not sure a better noise reduction system can be had that NR2. It is amazing. If AI NR could be implemented it without the external server, it would be great!

I guess since we have now "Trained Mode" in NR2, this issue can be closed.

Not for me.

Sorry, but NR2 "trained mode" sounds terrible to me compared to RM-NOISE.
