One of the factors that scares students learning introductory statistics is formulae. I think a good way to help them get over this fear is to do a series of screencasts that introduces them to formulae in an informal fashion. I would need to think through how exactly to do these videos, and maybe I could take the help of MGCR 271 teaching assistants to create these videos.

Here are some next steps I can take on this.

  1. Search through videos online that do similar things.
  2. Brainstorm on format of videos and how to present them.
