This package will let you publish the latest mapscii in the Ubuntu store, and from there reach many users on all the supported Ubuntu versions, and more Linux distributions in progress. You just have to go to https://build.snapcraft.io and enable the automated continuous delivery.

Ping @rastapasta, do you have a chance to take a look at this?
It is getting some nice stats, because a member of the community uploaded it to the store. However, it would get a lot more if it had install instructions in the repo. I will make a separate PR for that :)

Thank you, @ElOpio and also to @nathanhaines for bringing mapscii into the Snap Store.

Please keep the PRs for the Snap release coming. They are appreciated a lot!

@ElOpio Where can you access the package’s stats shown in your post? Is that limited to the publisher of the snap in the store?

I don't think even I have those stats. But I can see total active installs going back 6 months!

Down from a high of 618 (I think after it was featured in an article on the snapcraft blog), there are 357 active snap installs of mapscii this week. That's pretty good!

You can see a heat map by country and a bar graph by distro on the public listing: https://snapcraft.io/mapscii
