I suggest that you use rasterio plot: https://rasterio.readthedocs.io/en/latest/topics/plotting.html
rasterio.plot.plot(mosaic, transform=out_trans, ax=ax4) |

I want to create a mosaic using different images and cropping them to a polygon. Then I want to show them using matplotlib overlapping the polygon. I have difficulties on painting the polygon on top of the image. The following code does the merging and cropping:
Now to plot them:
However, the polygon doesn't seem to have the accurate points on top of the image. It's super large, more than the original image. How would it be the correct way to do so?
Notice that with matplotlib showing big images is a slow process.
