This project was completed as part of the course requirements of Udacity's Data Analyst Nanodegree certification.
The project explored the nature of homelessness in the United States as well as a brief discussion of causes and solutions. Tableau was used to create an interactive presentation of the data.
The project is hosted online at my blog.

- California and New York are the clear leaders in total homelessness numbers, but when looking at per capita, both in total count and for demographics like youth and families, there is a wider spread of states with high rates of homelessness
- Nationally, total homelessness numbers are decreasing as the population increases, but these results vary from state to state, with California and New York seeing substantial gains
- States with higher rental prices are more likely to have higher rates of homelessness
