https://github.com/redhat-developer/vscode-openshift-tools/blob/master/src/tools.json#L43 has you hardcoded to install oc 4.6.17, which is 30 z-releases behind the latest 4.6.47, and 2 y-releases behind the latest 4.8 release, with 4.9 just around the corner.
