ya but it's nothing close to old.reddit design right?

Its about as close I'd imagine the developers would want to get without having to put time into writing a fourth UI option

ya probably a lot of work... But I think the vast majority of people used to prefer old.reddit to the new design. So I think it would be very well received no?

to have this sort of interface? What do you think? I'm not sure what it's called exactly compared the new interface which redlib also shows.

One way this could be approached would be to implement a theme system through Askama templates instead of just limiting it to CSS (which has a limit on what can be modified on a page). In this way, users can choose between leaving the default theme or changing to a "retro" one in the preferences.

The idea of implementing this would be more or less like what I had explained in this comment.

Additionally, this could also be useful to attract users who preferred to use Teddit instead of Libreddit because its interface was quite similar to the old Reddit design (which in the long run could mean more people interested in collaborating with the project).

And speaking of Teddit, although its templates are in Pug format, according to this it is possible to transpile them to Jinja (which should make it easier to adapt them to Askama).
