Cross-posting Redux Toolkit + redux-persist issue

I recently made a new issue for redux-persist, and wanted to cross-post it here.

rt2zz/redux-persist#1344

If I eliminate serializability middleware altogether, that eliminates my issue, but I would prefer to use Redux Toolkit's default middleware.
