Could this be a bad git url?

https://travis-ci.org/stsquad/my-emacs-stuff/jobs/18887321

My local git tree follows:

git://git.savannah.gnu.org/emacs.git

I wouldn't recommend you to install emacs-git-snapshot on Travis because it compiles Emacs from scratch. Looking at the logs from the installation of Emacs, it fails (Evm probably should exit with a non zero signal here).

I plan to support pre compiled snapshot binaries, but that's not available yet. Until then, I recommend you to use the existing pre compiled versions.

Has there been any update on this? The Travis binaries have been created but the one for the git snapshot hasn't been updated in a long time, kind of making it pointless in it's use as a "snapshot".

@rejeep What's the status with emacs-git-snapshot-travis? It seems to be totally broken—I'm getting warnings about if-let* and when-let* when those warnings were removed from Emacs master months ago.

@raxod502 I don't really know, I never use it myself so I rely on other people updating it. If you want an update, please create a build and send me the file and I can release a new version.

@rejeep Wouldn't it be a better idea to have a cron job on Heroku or something that does this automatically? IMO "snapshot" doesn't really make sense if it has to be manually updated.

and/or perhaps the fact that the snapshot must be manually updated should be documented in the README; right now one has no reason to believe that it's not automatic.

Sure, I guess that would be ideal. If someone wants to set that up I'm happy to merge it here.

For now, I'm using emacs-git-snapshot as an allowed failure. It works as long as I use sudo: required and install texinfo.
