- Just saving back to file will not trigger another calculateMetadata() cycle - the data has not changed
- Saving a file while you have unsaved data in the editor will cause the editor to discard its changes - user has explicitly saved the data
- Saving is considered done as soon as the file is written, not when the fast refresh is applied
