Thanks a lot for making this available, Phil.
I was forced to update my old node 6.x based installation due to a hardware crash
and your boilerplate example was of real help getting gulp running without errors again.

No problem at all, if you have any improvements feel free to make suggestions. I'll be using this for a live project soon during which I'll probably extend it properly to deal with things like iconfonts.
